Look at Exercise as a Treat
My Challenge to you:
Look at exercise as a ‘treat’ . . .
or ‘a little break’ rather than ‘work’ or ‘a workout’.
When surveyed, those people who are most consistent at getting out Pole Walking on a regular basis – do it because they LOVE-IT
& it makes them feel better!
They look at exercising with their Poles as a gift to themselves – not – a laborious, time-consuming effort that they just can’t fit in.
It’s only human for us to avoid doing what makes us uncomfortable & takes a lot of effort. And yet . . . it’s not like Pole Walking is?
More often than not when many of us think about getting out exercising we think “oh, not now, I don’t have the time or the energy”.
Yet interestingly enough – I don’t know too many people, if any, who come back from Pole Walking to say “oh that was hard work & horrible!”
So next time you catch yourself telling yourself anything like that
Challenge yourself to fix that thought & look at getting out with your Poles as the true “Treat” that it is. . .
