Battling Obesity-Increasing Stability & Balance & Reducing/Eliminating Leg Ulcers

Dear Rosie & Sheri, I saw a person in the neighborhood Pole Walking before Christmas, and I was fascinated by the precision, the rhythm; it just seemed beautiful to me.

Being morbidly obese with balance issues as well as low self esteem, I was intrigued by the movement of the Pole Walking. I soon began Pole Walking every day. It is my calm in a stormy existence. I love these Walking Poles, and am proud to say I am wearing the feet down!

It has lifted my depression markedly, and I started Weight Watchers two weeks ago (I have another weigh-in tomorrow), and lost 7.8 pounds my first week. I don’t feel afraid to move any more, afraid of falling (which many obese people are & do), and I can say in all honesty this is saving my life, and my spirit which I thought was broken when I was dealing with the leg ulcers.

I definitely am looking to be an Instructor and to train when I become more fit – this way of walking has done wonders for my depression, my leg ulcer and my weight. God Bless you, I am so touched, I am working at making sure my Pole length and my arms are in correct position. God Bless you!
