Can Pole Walking give me toned arms?

Q – “How can Pole Walking give me toned-sculpted arms?”
I had the opportunity, at a tradeshow recently, to feel how solid and sculpted your arms are – it’s what sold me on the poles. I am tired of having arms that keep wobbling after I stop waving. I have huge ‘arm-envy’ – what’s it going to take to get arms like yours!

“Advice”-

I know exactly what you are talking about, because of the cellulite & flab I use to have on the backs of my arms I always felt very uncomfortable wearing sleeveless tops.

It’s crazy how many women suffer from the dreaded ‘Granny-wings’. We can all remember back to a teacher standing-up in front of the classroom writing on the chalk board while the back of her sleeveless arm jiggled up & down like a dimpled jelly salad! Not a pleasant visual. Not something any of us would want – but sadly an almost natural affliction for the majority of us females. It seems to not matter what or how little exercise our male counter parts do – they don’t suffer from it. Aren’t we the lucky ones!

Well I am happy to say Pole Walking is the answer! I, myself, along with countless other women are proof of it. We regularly receive emails from elated ladies boosting about their, now, firm bra-fat region & attractively shaped arms.

Years ago, I met a woman who was a marathon-walker, Christine, who had severe arm-envy after she saw & felt my arms. She was particularly upset because she had, over the last 2 years, invested, along with a personal trainer, 1½hrs, 5 days a week, in the gym doing weights focused on her upper body & arms . . . And her arms didn’t look anything like mine! Since she was walking lots already, what did she have to lose – she stopped pumping iron & decided to incorporate the Poles into her walking routine. Well less than 2months later, she sent us photos of her now gorgeous arms. She was shocked & a little upset, given all the time & money she had invested working out in the gym & with a trainer -but she was thrilled & impressed that in less than 2months she had surpassed what she had been working on for almost 2yrs.

Now, it’s important to note Christine, remember, is a marathon walker, she walks long distances & is out for long periods of time. Just so you know – it took a little longer for me. After I lost my original 30lbs – I was going 50-60minutes 5-6days a week & it took me a little more than 1yr, to tone & sculpt my whole-body & arms. Not to say I didn’t start to feel & see results sooner – I most certainly did. Almost immediately I started feeling muscles I’d never felt before & things began to tighten-up & jiggle less & less. Remember that was without doing any sit-ups, push-ups or dumb-bells – just Pole Walking.

Pole Walking can sculpt & tone your arms & upper-body. Pole Walking isn’t just about moving your upper body – It’s about moving over 90% of your muscles in resistance against the ground as you propel your body forward while you walk. Muscles need resistance to build – like when we use weights or resistance-bands. The interesting though thing about Pole Walking is that you are in resistance continuously flexing & contracting your stomach [doing a tummy-crunch]; your triceps [doing a tricep-extension] and your back, shoulder & bra-fat area [doing lat, delt, rhomb & trap – pulls] with every step. And in 30minutes we take approximately 2000 steps – That’s 2000 tummy-crunches, tricep-extensions & back, shoulder & bra-fat area contractions! If I asked you to do 2000 tummy-crunches or 2000 tricep-extensions would you, let alone could you?

Pretty cool, hey? . . . I am not saying don’t go to the gym or that gyms don’t work. If you enjoy the gym – go – Pole Walking on alternate days will only enhance whatever you do there. What I am saying is Pole Walking truly can tone-sculpted your arms!

The Secret to Conquering Arm-envy is:
• You need to USE your Poles a minimum of 5days a week – for a minimum of 50-60minutes.
• It’s important you USE your Poles with every-step – That means that after you gently plant your Poles use them/feel them against the ground as you either Pull-back with the Punch-Pull technique or Push-off with the Pendulum-Push technique . . . Remember it is the resistance of your weight, through the Poles, against the ground that contracts your muscles – helping you build muscle & burn fat.

So, to beautiful, sexy toned & sculpted arms – Walk -On!
